ReWork Article

This project involved designing a four-page feature article about remote working for a group of coworking spaces in London. The design needed to reflect the magazine’s clean and contemporary style while balancing text-heavy content with strong visuals. The main challenge was to create a layout that incorporated photos, branding elements, and 800 words of text while not appearing cluttered.

Project Type: Editorial Design

My Role: Graphic Designer

Tools: Figma, Adobe Photoshop

After researching similar publications and sketching out some ideas, I created low-fidelity wireframes in Figma and utilised a grid system for consistency and alignment. I paired a bold sans-serif font for the headline text with a clean, readable serif for the body text. I also integrated chosen images to break up the article text, and prioritised margins and whitespace to keep the design legible and give it a contemporary feel.

The final spread showcases 2 interior magazine spreads with balanced text, pull quotes, and photography. The design feels clean and contemporary and aligns with the company’s brand. The generous use of whitespace and bold typography keep the article readable despite the dense wordcount. This project was an exercise in hierarchy and brand consistency.
